path at 15 needs to be made safer.

The pathway at the front of the units needs lighting, or at least the step should be fitted with reflective discs. I believe that before I moved in, there had been reflective paint put on the step which wore off. This step is not large, but as I once injured 2 discs in my back from misjudging a step, I am quite nervous of this step when using the path, especially at night.

This issue was sent to WCH on 20.10.11 Has anyone noticed any action or response. If the path is still a problem, it is time to take further action.

I haven't seen or heard any further comments on the path or the letter so I guess it is time to send it to WCH.

Based on the discussion so far & for further comment I have done a draft letter which when agreed on could go on the notice board -
DRAFT
Proposed Letter to
Wentworth Community Housing
From
Residents 15-17 Hope St Blaxland
The pathway leading from the letter boxes down to the front of the units has a step in it.
It needs lighting, or at least the step should be fitted with reflective discs. There used to be reflective paint on the step which wore off.
As there is a light bollard at the top of the driveway it should not be a big deal for Wentworth Housing to install another one on that pathway.
This step is not large but when using the path, especially at night, it is a real tripping danger.
(Others who use that path are invited to comment on this idea and to support a letter to WCH by putting their views in the discussion at www.createvillage.net or by just leaving a note on this board.)

What if I put a photo up here - then perhaps we need to draft a letter to Wentworth Community Housing. We could put it on the notice board and see who else wants to sign it, or if anyone has something else to say.
Perhaps if WCH wants to discuss it they also might do that here on this forum so their response is available to all.

Hi Rosie,
Are you talking about the pathway leading from the letter boxes down to the front of the units - I know that has a step in it, There is a light bollard at the top of the driveway so it should not be a big deal for Wentworth Housing to install another one on that pathway. Reflective tape is also a good idea. If others who use that path would come on board we should write to WH & put in a request, describing the danger.
